Don’t get us wrong, there are plenty more than 10 photos to be taken along your Outback Adventure in the Quilpie Shire but we just wanted to give you a bit of a sneak peek of some of the pictures that are just waiting to be taken when you get here.
1. Baldy Top Lookout
No matter what time of day you chose to climb, Baldy Top always delivers fantastic views!
2. Lake Houdraman
Enjoy a stroll along the banks of Lake Houdraman, lined with stunning white water lilies.
3. Fossick for Opal
Spend an afternoon striking it rich at the local fossicking area at Quilpie.
4. Wild Flowers
Thanks to the beautiful rain we have received this year we are rewarded with lovely colours of the wildflowers through the Shire, making for a great photo!
5. The Bulloo River
Whether you are fishing, kayaking, swimming or walking along under the massive river gums, the Bulloo River keeps the whole family entertained.
6. Take a drive to Eromanga
The drive to Eromanga has everything from the Grey Range to Oil Donkey’s and even Dinosaurs!
7. Prep some fossils
Tell your friends you’ve worked on Dinosaur bones by doing a prep tour at the Eromanga Natural History Museum.
8. Take a drive to Adavale
A drive to Adavale will surprise you as the scenery changes from red flat ground to small rises and rocky arid landscapes all packed in to a 97km journey.
9. Hell Hole Gorge
With views like this there is just no way you can travel all the way to Adavale without visiting this incredible National Park.
10. Have the freshest feed around
A trip to the Quilpie Shire wouldn’t be complete without a feed of the local delicacies of Yabbies or Yellow Belly!
